Eh! I can’t read urdu properly :/
Perfecto! Fantastico!
This is like a piece out of some literary and philosophical masterpiece, honestly. Do continue writing in Urdu as well.

That was Umer, logged in from his pc on my wordpress account :D

Erm.. Translate into English :P
Haha. I tried to give it a read, too. HONESTLY. :P
It went over my head. :P
I know right! I always messed up my score due to URDU :/. Oh and a few days back our consultant asked me to write a prescription for a patient in the OPD, I didn’t know how to write “chamach”. I practiced it a lot at home then :O
Both Urdu and Islamiat have always been against me. :P I scored as low as 47/75 in Islamiat, Board Exams, Matric. :P
I tried writing it. Chamach. No success. :P
You’re studying Medical? Yay. :P Which yr.? From where? :D oh and how old are you? :P
lol :D. hey, come on facebook :P
Well..I’m definitely not translating my one urdu piece, written after ages, into english for you folks. Jis jis nain parhna hai, urdu seekh kar parh lay! :P

@ Salman – but this is no ordinary write-up, believe me o_o
If you’re on Urdu books, do read ‘Dashte Soos.’ The book inspired me to write this :)

‘ Aur woh tu sarapa talash tha. Magar is k bawajud har bar woh kho jata. Aik adhoray khawab ka peecha kartay kartay kahin reh jata…’
‘Rah he tu manzil aur manzil he tu rah hey…’
‘Faqat bey kanari. Faqat bey kanari.’
‘Magr mesaq-e-azal main is ki dastaan kuch aur taur ki raqm the..’
‘Abhe tu parwanay ko shama ki lo main zam ho kar fana sey lafana ka safar tey karna tha.’
Truly truly beautiful. :) The above lines pierced my being. Your astounding words merit something in Urdu. :)
Zindagi ki haqiqaton ko itny khubsurti aur nazakat sey alfaz k haar main piroya gaya hey. Aur jo hony hey, atal hey woh kia hey? Wohe tu Ishq-e-Lafana hey.

:)
@Brickwall
Apki beyhad zarra nawazi :)
I’ll try to upload my urdu writing more often :)
And translate it into English, because some people can’t read Urdu =/
Lol. The problem is that English absolutely lacks the profoundness that I found in Urdu while penning those thoughts. And precisely for that reason, it’s next to impossible for me to translate that.
Btw why don’t some people take some pains and read it with an Urdu dictionary :P :P
Some people will try :P.
Other people ought to be a lil kind towards “some people” whose mother tongue isn’t urdu :P.
Lol!! Well…I’ll try to translate it – but I can tell even now that it’s gonna be too difficult for me. So have no hopes :P
I’m rather gonna see some people try :P
I will. After a few weeks :P
Besta luck for the exams :P
Thank you :D
:)
It’s about Hussain bin Mansoor Hallaj :P

@Hadi
Pasand karnay ka shukriya. I am humbled :)
dear brother in islam!
i really feel ashamed of myself that i never bothered to read aboud Hadhrat Mansoor Hallaj[Rehmatullah] till few days back when i was listening to Abida Parween “charah Mansoor soli par” only then i felt curious.though personally i have suffered a lot for speaking truth! but really now i feel proud of myself as someone has said “it is an honour in itself to walk on the same path on which greats have walked before you”. GREAT WORK. can u please tell me the exact translation of ANAL HAQ!because according to my knowledge and insight.the actual translation is ‘I AM TRUTH’ and not’ I am God’.will apreciate ur reply.
@Humera
Thanks for appreciating the write-up.
As for the translation of Anal Haq, although literally it means ‘I am Truth’ but since God alone is the Absolute Truth, it has been maintained in history that the phrase necessarily means that ‘I am God.’
THANX FOR THIS ARTICLE, BUT i THINK WE ALL CAN ENJOY MUCH ABOUT ” HUSSAIN BIN MANSSOR” IF WE READ HIS BIOGRAFI WRITTEN BY JAMILA HASHMI, PLZ TRY TO STUDY “DASHT-E-SOOS”
first thing first that Hussein ibn Mansur(RH) was not “deewana”. he knew what he wanted, what was he upto, what was his destiny as per choice and capacity. he was not a mere seeker as in Talib-i-Haq, as he was never unaware of the first Bond “the Ahd-i-Alast”. he was a lover who never sought other than the Beloved Himself. he was restless right from the beginning as he never lost touch and could not settle for the temporal life as it happens to be a prison for free souls and even worse for the ones immersed in love. i would beg to differ with the writer of dasht-i-soos who has added a character aghol” in her book as his love interest. hussein himself has asked Allah in his ‘munajat” “if my nafs has ever desired any but You ever,let it never have its desires met”,and historical accounts also do not speak of any such character. and as for “rasta being the manzil” its not so for every body, not for the ones who are God-enamored and immersed in Him. they are the infinite ocean in themselves.
//and as for “rasta being the manzil” its not so for every body, not for the ones who are God-enamored and immersed in Him. they are the infinite ocean in themselves.//
Rasta being the manzil is the same. Seekers are the ones who succeed, no? :)
but of course your diction is very beautiful, and poetic.
hi salman
its true that to succeed one needs to be a seeker as illumination is not dawned accidentally on anyone, but what i was referring to is that it depends on the type and the depth of vessel the treasures it could carry and hold. seekers happen to be of all kinds the ones seeking paradise and keeping a check on their lower self are also seekers, the ones after ultimate truth and wisdom and knowledge and their own higher selves are also seekers but yet there are some who would not have a taste for all this and would want more or should i say different? the personal love of God!! their destiny i believe is a thirst insatiable as their status is “la-makan” and they have to continue voyaging eternally. and “hijr” is what they earn after every “visal”. so it becomes a never ending labor. as for the personality you chose to pen down about i am afraid has also earned himself this status. sure it takes to possess a very mighty heart to crave for the personal love of such a Beloved but…i have lost all words here…
and something which i must never have missed saying in the first place may Allah SWT bless you in both worlds for writing something sensible about the person in question in place of venomous critique his persona is mostly tarnished with.
I agree. It depends on a seeker what he seeketh and each true seeker eventually finds it :)
And thanks for liking the piece :)
//each true seeker eventually finds it//
hope so too. amen

Mansoor Halaj was great
life is a jock
like moth to the fire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was lokking for something like this it fits my taste its true it was just true love nothing else and urdu is better than english cz emotions and sentiments can not be gripped by english to the extent to which urdu does
Thanks for dropping by and commenting :)
i wanted to ask aquestion/////////////////////
humain Allah sai muhabbat karni chahiyai ya darna chahiay ?
@ bint eislam
hi there, well although your question was directed for salman to answer and he may reply it later, i would like to post comment as well. “beam-o-raja” as in hope and fear is the correct faith per Se, but its spirit is love. a faith devoid of love is like reaching your destination blindfolded. a loving heart doesn’t hope for heavenly bounties and doesn’t fear hell fire. he hopes for the nearness of Beloved and fears His estrangement. hope my answer amounts to a patent understanding of the faith of people of heart :)
thanx for answering !a few days back i asked my SELF this question and GOT THE ANSWER that when one is in love with Allah he is also afraid of Him but not of His azzaaab but of His naraazge
BUT I WANT TO KNOW FURTHER ABOUT OTHERS VIEWS AND THOUGHT THANKS FOR YOURS
I AM PLEASED
my pleasure entirely :)
Interesting, Which book is it?
@Farhan
Actually, it’s my own writing :)
This is so beautiful.
Thank you Sahar :)
Ishq junon jab had se barh jaae.

I couldn’t understand half of it, even though I brag about my Urdu skills. But it’s beautiful. Good job :D
Lol. Thank you, I am flattered! :P
